All Year Class

String Orchestra is a class is for 2nd and 3rd year music students. Advanced instrument techniques and traditional string literature will be explored and performed.

Requirements: Entrance contingent upon successful completion of an audition. Students must make a yearlong commitment to the class. This ensemble performs concerts outside of regular class time.

In additon to concerts, this ensemble participates in the annual Spring Tour, which takes place in March or April each school year. This mulit-day music tour involves travel to a nationally adjudicated festival, along with a music clinic and tour at a local university, and attending a performance of the local professional orchestra or wind ensemble.
