Tuxedos and blouse/skirt combinations worn by the Wind Ensemble and String Orchestra are provided by the music department free of charge. Uniforms are checked out at the beginning of the school year, and should be returned at the end of the school year, dry cleaned and in the condition they were received.
We ask families to consider making a uniform use donation to help offset the cost of annual routine maintenance and replacement of the school uniforms we loan to students each year. The suggested uniform use donation is $35.
Students also have the option to purchase their own uniforms.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to purchase your own uniform set, you will need to do so through the music department to ensure that all students have the proper uniform items. Once you have completed your purchase form above, you can send in a check, or if paying by credit card you will be sent a link where you may pay for your uniform items via Square.

Tops:
Black short sleeve velvet top
White tuxedo shirt with a black cummerbund, bow tie, and tuxedo jacket
Bottoms:
Black, full length skirt
Black tuxedo pants
Black dress shoes and socks (closed toe)

Helpful Tips:
Blouse
The blouse should fall over the waistband on the hips.
Skirt
Black, floor length.
The hem of the skirt should be 1 inch from the floor.
Tuxedo Jacket
Make sure that the jacket is not too tight to play. Slightly big is better than too tight.
The bottom of the jacket sleeve should fall between the top of the palm and the bottom of the “knuckle” of the wrist.
Tuxedo Shirt
The white shirt sleeve can show by ¼ inch at the bottom of the jacket sleeve.
Pants
All tuxedo pants are adjustable by 1 inch at the waist.
The pant hem should fall about ¼ inch or less from the floor at the back of the dress shoe heel.
Tie & Cummerbund
Black bow tie only.
Cummerbund should fit smoothly over the pants’ waistband.
Black Dress Shoes
Closed toe dress shoes, black flats, or pumps
Black socks or dark hosiery
No flip flops or athletic shoes

Important Info:
If you are using school-owned items, please DO NOT cut or permanently hem the skirt or pants. You can baste, tape, or pin the hem if the hem can be restored to the state it was given to your student. Please no iron-on tapes or liquid sewing glues.
