The CMS Music Department constructed a professional recording and multimedia studio that will enrich the creative potential of all our students. This project includes the latest in musical composition, audio and video technology at our students' fingertips, allowing them to bring together visual and performing arts in new and exciting ways.
The CMS studio is a evolving multiphase project.
The studio construction is finally complete and includes a main control room, a large main recording area, 2 smaller isolation booths, and a computer work station area where mixing and other audio and video work related projects can be completed.
The students have begun using the space to record their honor band auditions this past school year, as well as a few ensemble recording which will be released this year on our YouTube channel.
Plans remain to continue to add to the offerings of the studio, including expanding into student generated video/music production.
Many thanks to the companies and individuals who have donated so generously of their money, time and expertise to help
make the CMS Studio project dream a reality.
